NSP raises funds to subsidise each sterilisation performed by our golden beneficiaries around South Africa, with funds only being paid to consulting vets.
Our focus is on Pet Population Management (rather than only sterilisations), based on the basic principles of ICAM (International Companion Animal Management Coalition), and adapted according to local reality.
We bring animal welfare organisations, corporate sponsors and animal lovers together in a united drive that will ultimately protect all domestic animals.
To increase the number of sterilisations performed by partnering with more animal welfare groups that have established sterilisation programs.
To play a major role in reducing the growing population of stray animals in South Africa through ongoing, nationwide mass sterilisation projects.
There are a few crucial cornerstones to any animal welfare model which must be dynamically implemented. The primary importance of sterilisation as the most significant intervention to prevent animal neglect and suffering should be the core focus.
Our mission is to work with our beneficiary organisations to achieve these crucial cornerstones in the project areas:
According to industry research, thousands of dogs and cats are put down each week in South Africa simply because there aren’t enough homes for them.
